Joined a random server and people were using a glitch to keep the door open and put a sentry in it.

Either by keys, trade for keys, or try and trade the crates.

I usually just give them away. You can't scrap them and if you don't want to buy keys then they are essentially worthless anyway.

However, once I gave a crate away, the person I gave it to opened it and got an item they already had and then just gave me that item as thanks.

Another update:

An update to Team Fortress 2 has been released. The update will be applied automatically when you restart Team Fortress 2. The major changes include:
  • Added new map Koth_King
  • Added the Ready Steady Pan tournament medals
  • Added new promo items
  • Fixed a Medigun exploit that could leave players indefinitely invulnerable
  • Fixed sentry gun sometimes placing wrong, being rotated into the ground and pointing upward
  • Renamed "The Huo Long Heatmaker" to "The Huo-Long Heater"
  • Updated the localization files
  • Updated the Neon Annihilator
    • Materials now animate
    • Damage penalty only applies to players (not buildings)
    • Can damage sappers

Hey guys,

Chasing a strange Zaitochi, Persian Persuader and Ubersaw. Can't seem to bloody find them on the trade servers I've been thrashing the last week or so. TF2TP only has people wanting 1 ref+ for them, which is nonsense.

If you can help me out, flick us a PM. Thanks!

Sorry mate, little late to reply!

1. Go to this folder and back it up (right click folder, send to zip file);
Code:
\<Steam_Install_Directory>\steamapps\burningfeetman\team fortress 2\tf\cfg
2. Open up "Engineer.cfg" file using a text editor. This is a configuration file that is active whilst using the Engineer class. My favourite text editor is Notepad++, found here;
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/
3. Here's a script that I wrote after searching the web for ~ 15 minutes. I cut and pasted the stuff I wanted, and deleted the rest. This code results in your middle mouse button destroying your last placed sentry, building a new sentry, then switching to the last active weapon.

Code:
//BUILD MENU

alias "+sentry" "destroy 2; build 2; +attack"
alias "-sentry" "-attack; lastinv"
bind "mouse3" "+sentry"
With this code, you can focus on killing foes with your shotgun, whilst distracting them with your mini-sentry. It's extremely effective, you'll be able to take down most n00bs without complication.

SO, anyone got a spy script that works a treat? I suck at spy, need all the help I can get!

EDIT: LOL, I just realised the rest of my script in all the other classes;
Code:
bind "a" "+moveleft; +use_action_slot_item"
bind "d" "+moveright; +use_action_slot_item"
bind "s" "+back; +use_action_slot_item"
bind "w" "+forward; +use_action_slot_item"
If you've got an unlimited noise maker, every time you move, it'll trigger!

Speaking of engineer scripts can anyone help me with this. I'd like to hold a button to pull out pistol and shoot it and when i release this button, switch back to the previous weapon.

Also, in regards to people playing Spy, I rarely play Spy or Sniper because there's usually already 4 on a team of 8 and it's a death sentence for the team objective - absolutely no pushing power or presence. Which is why I'm usually Scout or Soldier, occasionally running Demo/Engineer/Medic where required.
