Really have to agree, heal what you are given and don't bitch and moan about how bad you are since all you can keep alive are heavies.

In Steam, go View->Settings->Downloads tab. What region is it trying to get from?

Make sure it's set to your State (and if possible, ISP), and re-start Steam. If nothing happens after a few minutes, validate your TF2 files and see if it fixes it.

you're an idiot. the medics job is to keep EVERYONE alive. ive outscored engis and demos defending as scout. doesnt matter what map/point or attack/defence. keep EVERYONE alive.

Well since you do not care about helping your team I will put it this way, if you heal him he will be able to take more damage and distract the other guys from shooting you, plus you will get points (because we know they mean alot). You never know when the person you just buffed will meat sheild you from a random crit since you sound like you dont ever play with no crits

When I play medic in ozfort league matches, I don't heal gameboy (he's a solly) because he's terrible and I don't like him.

I don't see what the big deal is.

when I play medic I heal 'good' players first, because they give the best mean return for investment

when I play heavy I heal everyone just to spread the good vibes.

Still loving the game, got a couple of hours in last night playing various classes but I think I'm settling into Medic.

What sort of general configuration enhancements and/or macro type setup is useful for this class?

Had a good go last night, a few maps I went well and a few I sucked! I usually go under the name of [Robust]Pappa Bear when playing with my mates or when playing by myself I go under [OCAU]Pappa Bear.

I've got 160 odd hours as medic and don't use macros or anything.

About the only one that I think would be useful would be a switch to melee, which I have bound to middle mouse. Ubersaw comes in handy sometimes..

Actually, whilst on the topic of macros, does anyone have any G15 profiles created for any classes? Some people are lightening fast at particular classes, I can only assume macros/profiles help here?
