Default Req: Desserts!

Im planning a suprise romantic dinner for my girlfriend, and have the basic meal planned out, but am missing the dessert. I need something really yummy and gooey. I saw on that Abc show (Ainsley's Gourmet Express) he made a soft centre chocolate pudding. Centre is soft and gooey, its great
Heres the recipe:

125g cooking choco
125g butter
melt them together...
grease moulds

3 whole eggs
3 whole egg yolks
6 tablespoons sugar
mix together

gently mix chocolate mix into egg mix

fold 3 teaspoons plain flour into mix

pour into moulds

6 minutes @ ~ 180degrees C .. NO MORE

dust with icing sugar and cream

makes about 5

So if anybody has something similarly yummy, (sticky date?) could you please post the recipe here. Thanks

That would be very high in cholesterol with all the egg yolks.

Another nice desert is fresh fruit salad with cream.

You'll need:

Rock Melon
Seedless Water Melon
Strawberries
Oranges
Kiwi Fruit
Plums
Pinapple (I normally cheat and use a tin of chunks in natural juice)

and any other fruit you would like to add.

Make sure the Rock Melon (or you can use Honey Dew Melon) skin is nice. Wash the melon before you cut it and pat it dry. Cut in half (not lengthwise) and take all the seeds out. Carefully scoop out the melon making sure not to damage the skin. Cut a small slice from the outside of the bottom of the skin \_/, this can then be used as the bowl to serve the fruit salad in. Wash and chop all the other fruit and keep chilled in the fridge and serve with whipped cream.

Don't forget to get a few nice chocolate mints or chocolates to go with the coffee.

It's best to do a desert that can be made ahead of time and gives you plenty of time to cook the main meal without leaving your girlfriend on her own too much. Hope you have a nice night.

Thanks Ma
Ive done something similar, but i only used strawberries. What you do there is dip the small end in some melted chocolate, let it set and put them on a plate with a a bowl of whipped cream in the middle. Very romantic
