Default Can someone help me please? e2140 up to 2.8GHz

Hello peoples. 1st and foremost, very nice site you have here.
K, here goes now the pleasentries are out of the way.

I have an E2140 @ 1.6GHz, 2GB Generic (I think it's hyundai *shivers*) DDR2, GA945GCMX-S2, XFX Geforce 8600GT, all stock.

My problem is thus, Medal of Honor Airborne gives me 7 second glitches between frames, sometimes even longer, so i'm thinking, the minimum requirements of the game state "CPU: (Single core) 2.8GB" therefore, it's only using 1 core of my cpu which isn't quick enough.

So I guess my question is, how do I overclock my cpu to 2.8GHz without killing it?

I have read that people have cranked it to 3 and even 3.2GHz, but they must have crazy cooling systems.

Any help would be appreciated and thankyou for taking the time to read this!

Hello DJ,

Seems that it might be the clock ratio being gay,

there is a few features to turn off, such as CIE2 Which is a power option and declocks the cpu clock.,'

whilst OCing, make sure u check that its stable by using orthos, and check cpu-z for correct multiplyer and coretemp .94 for temperature.

Good call. Try & disable C1E in BIOS.

Thanks peoples
I have disabled CIE and it's stopped the core speed and multiplyer from constanly changing ( I think it's an idle thing? lol)
However, I have managed to get MOHA working all I had to do was disable my virus protection!!
Thanks again for your help!
