Default Updated WinSMP Client

http://forum.folding-community.org/ftopic21289.html

Kasson:

The previous Windows SMP beta client expires at the beginning of October. I have posted an updated client at the same location, accessible from the download page. This one is good until the beginning of February.

There are no major updates in this client. We are working hard on a new and improved Windows SMP client to fix a number of the problems with the current one, but we don't have an ETA yet. We'll announce that one when it's ready.

Kasson has also provided an updated file with only the changed file, namely fah.exe. Beware it is in a non-Windows native format and needs Winrar etc to unpack it. Located here:

Yeh yeh, bad joke, I know.

Thx for the heads up, looks like we will be good till February now...
I wonder if Bollocks can also add this to the Folding page seeing many of us are now running SMP clients!

Also dont download it thru IE7 coz it stuffs the file apparently, use Firefox & then unrar...

ahahaha. i just read that thread linked and i cant believe so many whinge about the file format. one lad says hes been and administrator for 15 years and has never seen a .tgz file.....

Anyone who uses the buggy SMP clients sure as hell should have the ability to extract a file whatever the format may be.

edit: oh what a crappy 2000th post
