Default Laptop LED displays - when?

Hey

Just wondering when LED displays will start showing up in laptops, and whether or not it'll mean cheaper prices. I know apple previewed a laptop with one not too long ago, but I haven't heard anything else about since.

CvR

edit: just read that the XPS M1330 can be configured with a LED display - is this the only one so far?

Do you think these are going to come out on laptops for about $2k anytime soon, coz this is the kinda tech that I'd wait for before buying a laptop. specifically looking at the dell 1720 or even the XPS M1730. Do they really make a diff in battery life?

you can get the XPS1330 for $1600 if you like, or the better option is around $2000, not sure how it impacts on the battery life though.

I love my LED screen, and everyone who has seen it has remarked on how clear it is. Much easier to see at low brightness too.
