Default How to get a toshiba tecra 8000 to boot from a cd...?

I've set to boot from the cd first in the bios, and it just goes straight to the hard drive. A bit of googleing suggested f12 for a boot menu, or hold down C as it starts up to go the cd but that didn't work either. Any other suggestions ?

It behave the same with multiple cd's too.

if all else fails you could always install a boot loader.
