core 2 duo vs core duo

hey guys im in the market for a new lappy and im tossing up between these toshibas:

Toshiba Satellite A200/Q01 Notebook
Processor Intel Core Duo 2.0GHZ
RAM Size 1GB
Hard Drive Size 120GB
Screen Size 15.4" TrueBrite Widescreen
Disc Drive DVD SuperMulti Writer
Operating System Vista Home Premium
5 in 1 Card Reader
1.3mp Webcam with Mic
for $1187

VS

Processor Intel Core 2 Duo 1.73GHZ processor

basically its a trade off: a core 2 duo vs. having norton IS, bigger hdd, webcam, 5 in 1 card reader(i dont know what this is lol) and vista premium.

Which one would you learn towards?? Feel free to suggest other lappies aswell!

The Core Duo will be faster. The Core 2 Duo supports 64-bit though, so you'll be able to use it with Vista 64-bit if/when you upgrade.
