Default toshiba satellite ram

Perhaps a dumb q.
But im looking for ram for my toshiba satellite and notice a few sites listing specific ram as "For Toshiba". Like this http://umart.net/au/index.php?cPath=92_53 In most cases it's atleast double the price of normal ram.
Is this my only option for an upgrade?
Cheers.

i think they are just branded. as long as you get SO-DIMM, it should be fine.

Get CPU-Z see what ram your running, then go buy ram with that spec. Ram "For Company X" is just BS marketing for those not in the know.

As mentioned above get SO-DIMM's.
