    Few more Pics

    placeholder # 1

Okay, got to dummying up the placement of the tubing and mobo/gpu blocks.

Spent last night cable sleeving fan leads, UV CCFL's and a few sundry bits.

Not much to say today so just a few pics. Oh, I did manage to get some paint for it. Mandarin Mica. This will find its way into a few other mods to tie into a kinda brightish theme for summer as Im used to being couped up and the missus says its time for change

Silver bits on my joystick, G11, G5 and steering wheel will all end up this orange. If I get the balls I will bust out and do my 22" LCD too, but mmm.:Paranoid:

    Anyway, pics.............. :weirdo: :p

heres a shot of the rear of the case. Just need to trim the grille down so side and top panels sit flush which I will do tomorrow when missus is out with friend shopping :p

Heres one of the motherboard side. Along the bottom will sit an ali false bottom and a mini motherboard as mentioned in thread.

and another looking forward, the HDD's for the server will sit up under the Optical drive

And heres radiator side with pump, t-line and Radiators.

And finally, the colour. This will be combined with black in sections to help break the brightness down somewhat, I dont wanna feel like im playing an overclocked starburst.

    Looks very nice mate :)

Thinking of doing the same if my job proves steady, save the water cooling, and getting a tonne of new hard drives to boot :)

How are you finding the quality of that case?

Case quality? Its made by Codegen......

But yeah, it's thick as so its sturdy enough. I intend to chuck a commell mobo in it and use it as my gaming rig and part time BF2 server for bro and a few mates. I was thinking of padding up the top of the case and it can be my seat and foot cooler in summer when lanning

All the fans up full speed are about as loud as my last system that had 4 x 120mm cheap ass fans so once its all on the rheobus it wont be heard by all but the fussiest, and they can fuck off to silentpcreview or something   Nah, the case is thick enough that when the side panels are on and I have it all matted up inside it'll be quieter than a mouse fartin' HDD's/opticals are the loudest part when done im guessing.

Smoke87, take the step up mate, but be warned, its expensive and addictive. Everything is a compromise ( unless you born rich ) when building. I wanted evercool ali fans, but at $30 a pop x 10. I may as well have gone phasechange.

    Case $259
    Rad $60~
    small rad $55
    block cpu $85
    block gpu $145
    pump $135
    hose $35
    fittings $20~
    UV dye $10
    fans x 10 $90
    fan grilles $80
    cable sleeving $15
    DD fillport $19
and it just keeps going and going so you have to come up with a plan and stick to it mostly unless your budget is creamworthy....

Its all cool, its a hobby as well as a computer. And looked after, will last quite a while covering a few future upgrades.

oh, did I mention the blood? these cases are thick, and sharp.blood.yes.

I've always been under the impression that Codegen cases should be sold with a pack of band-aids as part of the bundled accessories.

Looks good, can't wait to see the finished result :)

Ta mate, should have some more progress pics over the weekend. Just sitting here now doing the cable sleeving for it all. Have finished running all the hosing but have decided to go to some 7/16 tube so will have to wait till next week for that to arrive now.

Also picked up a tiny intel mobo from Beesa888 to fit in where it can. Server/leecher and gaming rig in one case. mini comp will be used at LANs as server and home as D/L box/folding/crankin mp3's thru DSE amp and bookshelfs whilst gaming component gets 5.1 digital  Also nabbed a 7 port powered USB hub to run my wheel/mice/KB/joystick/external HDD so just have to work out where to cut to fit that nicely too.

Be glad when its all done, BF2 withdrawals happening and I reeeeealy need to get this room tidied up so OS friend can have a room to stay in when she gets here.

And yes, I agree with the band-aids as OEM with case. Bandaids and a file should be compulsory inclusions :D

Hows life been treatin you anyways -=Alfonzo=-? hope its all good mate:thumbup:

few more pics up. Chose colour today for outside of case. Chassis will be finished off tomorrow while the missus is out and about shopping

I would like to have it ready to go to powdercoaters on Monday as they say I can have it back tuesday lunch if I get it in mon morning. So I need to do the final trim up of fan cutouts and the DD fillport in the roof.

Sunday, the sanding, filing and puttying/rubbing begins on the outside panels while taking in the ICGP on the tube.:p

No worries mate. I look forward to it, naturally ;).

Unfortunately I don't have any 'orange' sleeving yet... hopefully in the not toooo distant future. Not that you mentioned it, but I suspect it might be on the cards. ;) However, the 'Neon Red' is quite orangy under normal light and redy/pink under UV light. 'Orange' is not available in UV variants.

Anyway, keep up the good work... looking forward to seeing your progress.

    Cheers

Cheers mate, going pretty good, hope the same for you too - I've been a bit of a slackarse with my computer with this last build, opted for a sonata II case and fell in love with the silence so I there's no flashy windows, no bright cathodes, and no watercooling  Finally getting bored, so I'll expect to have my own build log going on soon :D

For now though, this is going to look a great little unit when it's done - I love the colour you've chosen. When you say used with black in sections, do you mean black inserts to contrast the intensity of the orange, or a black pearl or such through the paint to bring down the brightness all over?

Gonna put a black base coat down, take the sting out of the bright orange to a minor extent and mask off a couple of areas to be left black when I paint it up.

I have some nice black panther mica to put a cpl of GT racing stripes down the top. Still toying with what I wanna do though.

Ta Glide. I only went with the orange cause Gamedude had a special on them. That got me thinking. Now I quite like the colour scheme.

Mostly keeping it orange, black and chrome with white inside to highlight the goods.

Am now going to play the waiting game as case goes into be powder coated.
Have placed an order with GAMmods for some stuff, that if I chose right, will add the character to the case im after.

Im gonna be quite till probably Wednesday/Thursday then will dump up some more pics when I get all the newly arrived stuff sorted.

    Peace brothers..
