Thumbs down Acer Laptop

Well I think I just bricked my Acer laptop installing a BIOS update from their website using the software they tell you to. It installed correctly and then did the restart. Now it doesn't start up. The screen stays black and it just idles with the power.

The reason I did the update was because I just installed a new hard drive because the old one died. It didn't seem to see all the space on the drive so I did the update.

I think it is screwed. Any one got any ideas what to do?

Is that what you say to everyone when they have a problem with a computer?

Smart lad.

nothing about "rolling back" your BIOS on google?

Google Search

or even this? http://www.wimsbios.com/phpBB2/topic8753.html

good luck, but I would probably just take it to a repair place actually - especially if it's under warranty.

If it's a notebook, then yes. They will most likely be able to fix the problem.

Smart lad? My laptops working perfectly... How's yours?

It's a laptop. take it to the nearest repair place if you can't figure a way to fix the bios yourself. Its also rather hassle free but if you need the laptop on a day to day basis you might want to try fix it first. Just be careful about voiding warranty.
