Default Free ram slots

Hey guys i've got am LG laptop LS50a and i was wanting to get 1gig of extra ram to go with the one that is in there. I just don't know if there is a free slot and was wondering if there was a program that could tell me if there was a free port. Also if there is a free slot what stick of ram can i use (directions?)

here are some online instructions: http://www.computermemoryupgrade.net...op-memory.html

you should note that sometimes the slots are stacked one on top of the other, and not side-by-side, as is in the guide.

there'll be two arms on the side of the ram stick holding it in place. pry these apart (away from the ram stick), and the ram should pop up at a 45 degree angle. if not, after prying away the arms, lift the ram up to 45 degrees yourself. then you can pull it out of the socket.

also note that your lappy uses DDR1, not DDR2, SODIMM memory.
