As the title says, what do people think of dell's true life? Is it generally helpful? Or is the glare horrible? I've seen some older true lifes and I don't like them. I'm not sure how they are now?

I dont mind it. I use Dell laptops at work and at home and all have truelife. You will notice the difference but its true about the glare if you work with your back to the sun or downlights on top of you

Yeh, depends on your environment. We have a Dell in the house with a TrueLife LCD, and I have an Acer that has a matte finish - I prefer the TrueLife to be honest.
But if you've got fluros directly behind your workspace, then you'll probably get annoyed with the reflection.

my last laptop with truelife annoyed me a bit, outside at uni it was great but in the library reflection was terribly annoying.
