What cars have you guys mainly used in the S events? I just can't seem to get it right with the GTR... S1 for example.

I am about to buy one of those Logitech G25 stearing wheels for the PS3,before I go out and buy it,is this the best stearing wheel to get for gran turismo prolog,I seen there is two other Logitech wheels,Driving Force Pro and the newer Driving Force GT,are any of these ones better than the G25,wasn't sure if the Driving Force GT was better because it is newer.

As has been said many times in this thread it's the best 'mass production' wheel you can buy.
Just look at the price points of the logitech wheels on their website, that tells you how good each is in respect to the other, and the G25 is king!

G25 is the best, keep in mind you will need to find something to attach it to as well - its a beast

Ok thanks for that,I will grab the G25 today, dicksmiths have them on special for $298.
For the time being I was just going to attach it to one of those sawbenches I seen someone on here using, looks like it will do the job. Click to view full-sized image! Hosted by UGBox Image Store |

I've got mine attached to a 750mm high saw bench too - it works quite well.

Yeah looks like it will work pretty good, and saves me paying a few hundred for one of those proper sitdown cockpit ones for the time being,I will probably be happy with the sawbench and not worry about buying anything else.

Can anyone recommend the Logitech Driving Force EX ? I can pick one up for under $100 at the moment, but can't justify spending the extra cash to get the g25
.

Don't eat for a fortnight, all my friends regret not spending that little more for the G25.

If you really can't get the G25, the lowest-spec steering wheel I'd go for is the Driving Force Pro.

I even tried using my old Logitech Wingman Formula Force GP last night to get a feel of what it's like to drive the Lotus Elise 111R Tuned, that half worked but the wheel was vibrating so badly at times and became undrivable. The thing I noticed though was that the pedals were perfect and I was able to brake and accelerate without any of the snap oversteer you would get with the PS3 controller. I just bought the PS3 Prologue pack with COD4 last week and I don't thing the missus is going to be too happy with me spending another $300 on it at the moment

I finally got around to connect my g25 up last night... OMG! Makes it sooo much easier! On my first lap I shaved 0.4s my suzuka east lap time using DC5R (that's with a mis-shift
) And now the R35 is much more drivable as well
