Virtual Machines aren't that demanding, the main thing is having plenty of RAM in the box thats hosting your VMware machines and keep an eye on how much CPU utilization they are using. I run 10 VMware machines off a single box spread over 4 HDD.

I only just moved in last week so I am still un-packing and moving crap :P

but here it is so far.

Just need to setup my second media centre down stairs on our projector, and get a projector mount for the sealing and some motivation to install media centre on my other box. at that point i will also take the wii down stairs for much fun drunkenness on the big screen
Also note the xbox360 in the bedroom is only used as a media centre extender.

looking at getting a small rack for down stairs to make everything all nice and tidy

Mine's pretty tame compared to a lot of the setups in here!

I have both wireless and wired network adapters for my 360 and Spare PC, so I can set them up wirelessly if I need to in a hurry, but for stability they're usually set up using cables!

Mines fairly simple.

TPG Internet -> ADSL2+ modem -> Netscreen 50 -> Cisco 3560 -> PCs.

Also have a nice QNAP NAS and a network printer on the network.

I've also ordered an Aironet 1250 for N wireless access.

Damn there's some fancy setups!

Cable modem - > 5 port switch - > 2 PCs

Cat 5 cable running from the lounge, down & across the hall? Priceless.
