Sound was quite good, suncorp isn't too bad an amphitheater but the show was not as good as Robbie William’s.

some more pix while I'm at it....

note to self; don't leave 1GB CF cards in camera.... DOH

i thought the sound was horrible, very muddy and far too much echo, the fergie chick was pretty much completely unintelligible and the police were only a slight improvment, i guess because i knew most of the words

suncorp is a lot easier to get in and out of than the QE2 stadium (or whatever they call it these days) we caught the bus in and out and were home in 15 mins, compared to 45 from QE2. i saw u2 there recently and a few yrs ago and access was a mess, but i remember the sound as being quite a bit better

Funny you should mention U2... there my favorite band and I've been to all 4 of there Brisbane tour concerts, and ANZ stadium easily had the worst sound, way too loud with too much bass. The best sound was at the entertainment centre in 89, though the 84 concert at festival hall was nearly as good.

Oh and Suncorp has noise restrictions, which actually worked out well for the acoustics, the highs, midrange tones where superb, you must have been listening to it in the toilet for it to sound muddy
