Default Help - Please design a Logo for a club

Hi Guys,

My model power boat club needs to have a logo designed, but none of us have the skills to do one.

Anyone here want to lend a hand to make one for us?

Ideally, we want something similar to our national body which is this:

The outer circle text would read "Model Power Boat Club - ACT" which would start around the 8 o'clock position and wrap around the top. Then "Canberra" on the base of the Circle.

In the centre instead of the map of Oz, have the Parliament House flag pole:

and instead of the propeller on top, this boat (except not coloured):

We are only a small club so the preference would be if someone could donate the logo.

If anyone can help out it would be greatly appreciated.

I tell you what, i'll do it for you if you at least have an attempt in photoshop, or even paint. You have all the tools you need in those images right there.

If it looks shit, i'll do it in illustrator for you.

Thanks for taking the time to produce a logo smork.

Another person did this one up for us

He said that it wasn't any good to get t-shirts and signs done up professionally as it isn't formated correctly. I'm not sure what he means as it looks pretty good to me.

The club will want to use the logo down the track to get t-shirts and stubbie coolers etc. Do I need to worry about it or can this image be used?

Due to it being a JPG, it won't scale up very well at all, pixellation etc. You really need a vector image.

imo take out the silly flagpole in the background and remove the shading from the boat.

I tried to make the boat look more like a logo.

I would've done the rest, but the program I'm using doesn't have text on a path.

Edit: Updated with bad text.

You could even have the ACT territory outline behind the boat if you wanted. Much better than the flag pole.
Just my 2cents

That looks pretty good. Is that picture one of those vector ones we can use for t-shirts and stuff?
