Default Installing faster CPU in IBM R40

I've currently got both a R40 and an R32.. the R32 has a Pentium M 1.8 whereas the R40 only has a Pentium M 1.3..

Can I swap the CPUs? will it do any damage even if I try the swap?

The donor laptop is an R32 2658-CGM. It uses a Pentium 4 M 1.8 ghz

The original laptop is a R40 2722-DM2.. it uses a Pentium M 1.3 ghz..

Which is the faster cpu? Initially i guessed that it would be the P4M that'd be a quicker cpu but now i'm not so sure..

Pentium M and Pentium 4 M are different CPU's... you're R40 won't be able to use the P4-M
