Default fastest Laptop EVER!

This one made me laugh..
LINK

Ha! so the fastest laptop ever has a 2.5ghz CPU? LOL!

''SUPER FAST 800MHz 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM''
''MUCH faster than 667mhz memory!!'' O RRLY?

It may be the fastest Gaming specific Laptop, but NOWHERE near the fastest normal Laptop.

But i do like the Performance it would get in Crysis..2x 8800's in a Laptop is pretty good..

You DO realise that raw processor speed isn't everything in determining how fast a computer actually is right? Okay the guy is a right cocktard to claim that it is the "Fastet laptop evar" but it is right up there.
Edit: In saying that it does appear to be lacking in a few features

Show us a laptop that's better?...

2.5GHz T9300 Penryn
512MB 8800GTX M
4GB DDR2 800MHz
200GB 7200 SATA
17" Screen
Subwoofer (omg!)
And it looks hot!

Would it be the most awesomest thing ever if it had an Asus badge on it?

haha, holy crap! That thing is a weapon. Actual desktop CPU.. wouldn't dare to ask how hot a Q6700 gets inside that thing

It probably would make quite a good weapon. It weighs 5.2kg and probably outputs close to 200w in heat (three HDDs, a pair of Mobile 8800GTXs, a Q6700, a 17" LCD, plus cooling systems). Heavy enough to hurt if you hit someone with it, and hot enough to burn!

The really funny thing is the power supply. It's only rated at 120w. A Q6700 by itself can draw 110w, or 95w for the G0 stepping. Each 8800GTX is rated at 37w. Combine two 8800GTXs with the G0 CPU and you've got a 169w power draw - so if you use the laptop for gaming in something like Crysis (which will fully load the whole system) then the battery will be discharging even when it's plugged in!

If the 200w estimate for the total power draw when under load is correct then the included battery (~98Whr) will last less than half an hour under full load.

Essentially, that's not a laptop any more. It's a desktop with a decent UPS built-in.

"FASTEST EVER" is abit much to say, "FASTEST TO DATE" would be more appropriate.

Isn't this the laptop that Blizzard Entertainment Promo'd with Dell for WoW?

As said, nowhere near the Fastest laptop.
The Sager as above is great,
Then you got the C90, Which even with the 8700 would smoke that on normal non-gaming tasks.
800mhz ram would make a HUGE performance difference over 667? When did this happen?

But what i would like to know is, how fried would your lap be if you used it as a Laptop playing Crysis...
Roasted!

Also, What good is 4gb of Ram going to be if the OS is only 32bit? They should include the 64bit version..

BUT, what really pisses me off..
''MUCH Faster than TWO 8700m GTs!!''..
How is it 'MUCH' faster? How could it be faster than 2x8700M GT 512mb, That has been overclocked?
Would like to see some SOLID proof, not just a Pictures of what he could have made, of a SINGLE 8700M, with no specific details..
If those charts WERE accurate, They would Say how much Memory, What speeds..etc.

If i had 2x 8700M GT's, 512mb, and overclocked them, I would say that it would EASILY beat a SINGLE 8800M.

Have a look at some of the stats. One Geforce 8700M GT:

32 shaders at 1250MHz
128-bit RAM at 1600MHz

One Geforce 8800M GTX:

96 shaders at 1250MHz
256-bit RAM at 1600MHz

Even if SLI was so efficient that you could actually add together the specifications directly (so two 8700s would be 64 shaders at 1250MHz and 256-bit RAM at 1600MHz) the single Geforce 8800M GTX would be much more powerful - you'd need a 50% shader overclock on each 8700M GT just to equal it.

SLI is not actually anywhere near that efficient. In reality, it'll offer maybe 1.5x the performance of a single card on average - so the two 8700s in SLI will be more like 48 shaders at 1250MHz and 192-bit RAM at 1600MHz. Clearly no match for even a single 8800M GTX.

Oh, my bad..only just saw it was an 8800M GTX..thought it was a normal GT.

And sagers are good, but this Stupid seller is trying to make it look like the best Laptop in the world..In reality, you could make a MUCH faster one from sager..

Thats what this thread was about..The seller saying its the worlds fastest laptop with those specs..
Well, no, it is NOT the worlds fastest laptop.

one with the X6800, and Dual 8800M GTX would infact, slaughter the version that the guy on ebay is selling..
