Default upgrading ram on asus f3e

hi fellas, quick question before i go and waste my money on something that wont work. i want to upgrade the ram to either 2x1gb or 1x1gb and 1x 2gb stick.. i'm just unsure wether the laptop will recognize 3gb of ram using vista premium 32bit...
the manual says it can recognize up to 4gb (vista 64bit) so i'm just unsure!

the model number is: Pro31e, mb is f3e
help!!

cheers

32 bit will recognise up to 3gb. It's only for 4gb that you need 64 bit Vista.
