Default Make Sure You Update that SMP Client as it expired 31/1/08, other Updates too!

Yup, it's that time of year again where we can update to the latest and greatest clients.

Here is the link to the folding forum news http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=996 about what clients have updates available. The downloads are available from http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Download

By the sounds of things the primary change is a longer period before the next expiration date which is now August.

Angry

Hmm, that would explain why my SMP clients no longer work

Its typical my usually reliable b/b connection decides to fritz itself & I am forced back onto dialup

It would probably also explain why the OCAU stats have dropped by about 150k points or so a day.

I'd bet lots of unattended machines have stopped working and people don't realise.

shouldn't the program still run until the next time we restart it?

I once had a client that was expired for 35 days.... my pcs are rock stable

Yeh it does.

I wonder how many people have automatic updates set to on ? Until I remembered to turn it off, my machines would sporadically reboot at 3am losing the WU.

Otherwise, what could be attributed to the massive continual drop in points ?

It does run until restarted, however, sometimes I have some other work for the machines, such as occasional lan gaming requiring it to be moved....

Default lack of points

I am sure there must be a problem with PS3 points
very few are being credited
- look at team PS3
