Angry new DELL inspiron 1520 + logitech bluetooth mouse

Just my got my inspiron 1520 + bluetooth mouseand for some unknown reason the mouse wont install. it is recognised at start up and gets about 90% of the way through the install and then just wants to be reinstalled again. any ideas?

Nope it just keeps cyclingnthrough the setup.
I tried to connect via the bluetooth menu in control panel.
It finds the mouse, claims to have installed it, however, I get no motion or response from the mouse at all.
