ACER Travelmate 2480 errors

Ok so i have two main problems hopefully someone can help me out.

1. Broadcom 802.11bg wireless drivers do not install correctly (so no wireless)

2. I Installed the audo drivers/software and i get the following error message every boot. (note: sound works fine, so it seems)

The broadcom driver is 4.100.15.5 V4.0 and is the only one I can get to part instal (pc freezes at end of driver instal from within device manager), all others have been no goes, (dont even start installing or detect correct driver).

The sound dramas don't really bother me but its abit annoying.

EDIT: forgot to attach the error message, and also not I am running XP 32bit.

Hope someone can help me out.
