Im thinking about buying on of those Hp tx1200 series touch screen laptops off ebay...what you guys think about this type of laptop? Any people with experiences with touch screen laptops? Any good?

IMO, touch screen laptops are shit and just have the initial wow factor but they don't do much. What you want is wacom (or similar) based tablet laptop. The wacom pens don't require much pressure to write with and there's also pressure sensitivity. Writing on the tx1200 is absolute shit house and my writing comes up like crap due to needing to maintain a lot of pressure on the screen for it to register.
A tablet with touchscreen would be ideal as you'd get the best of both worlds, such as one of the IBM, i think the t61 or something. That's available with both the touch screen and pen input. The only negative bit with the pen only based ones is that you can't use your finger which is handy for when you're too lazy to use the mouse/touchpad/pointing stick and you can just press the OK button. Other than that, a wacom based tablet is what you're looking for especially if you plan on taking lots of notes.

Dell have the Latitude XT out now, Supposedly is rated pretty highly amongst the other ultra-portable tablets...
