some games that I enjoy would be: Tetris (DS), Age of Empires, Advance War series (DS; GBA), Chess games ect...
I so wish someone would make a version of Pirates! for the DS.

what games are you into?

have a look in the existing wha to buy DS thread. id only really add to that Fire emblem sacred stones (bloody hard to find) on gba, there are a few other GBA titles worth getting - any metroidvania will have hours and hours sunk in it to clock

its one of the things i really liked about the DS , that it did not obviate the entire GBA library in the process. metacritic can probably help there too if they cover GBA - anything ranked over 90% is generally a top seller, regardless of system.

Just thought I would add Bomberman Land Touch 2. I don't know if it's in Australia, but you can get it from Play-asia (a bit of a wait now though). Nice little mini games and puzzles game. So far it's got me addicted for hours on end.

SNES games. Too easy.

Rock 'n' Roll Racing. They made a GBA version of it as well if you can find it. Best game ever.

2 of the best. RnR we used to play in the early-mid 90's. A true classic.

If you're looking for adventure, Minish Cap on GBA is great fun. DKC1-3 also fun.
