anybody with an x-fi will be able to see this, but here is a pic
![]() iwhat i want to do is connect the headphone & mic jacks on my stacker to the card, i already have the pin schematic but have found it impossible to find this type of plug (yes i've checked jaycar) the pins are exactly 2mm apart from centre to centre also is connecting the front panel likely to: a- introduce interferance to the other jack on the backplate b- have interferance on the headphone jack at the front

I don't think it's a proprietary connector, it's just a 2mm pitch locking header. Try RS or Farnell.

Farnell has them, they're 26pin yes? Look in Connectors -> D-Subminiature

If all else fails, you could try connecting to them using the small black connectors that go to your motherboard from the front panel power lights/switch etc.
I did that with a proprietary Pioneer molex plug on my headunit, worked a treat |

i think you will find this link very useful http://audigy2zshowto.blogspot.com/
i actually interfaced my front panel audio jack to my card just last week. I was going to solder straight to the pins but then i found some very small crimps that were a good fit on some old wire. I pulled them out of there connector, put heatshrink around them and just slide them over the each connector pin, worked well. I only connected the left, right and grtound pins, wasnt interested in the microphone or headphone sensing pins. now when i want to listen to my speakers instead of headphones all i do is turn them on, instead of crawling around on the floor to unplug my headphones to plug in the speakers. Hope the link helps :P edit: no, i had no nosie introduced into the system, through front or back connectors. They are a 10 pin connector. I did this to my x-fi, i know the linky is for audigy2 but it is the same. The black connectors that go to your motherboard are far too big, dont even bother trying. As a last resort if i were you i would just solder straight to each pin, putting some heatshrink over the connection when done
