I'm not sure if you can see the aperture setting in the meter, but my previous Canonet was shutter priority as well. The work around was to set the shutter speed to a setting that would give you your desired aperture. Useful for preventing motion blur too.

Yeah, I suppose there's that. At least the shutter is easy to change.
One thing that really annoys me is the position of the focus lever is on the right, under the VF window. I guess you're meant to use your thumb, but it's a PITA. On the left so you can use your finger would be better, but that's where the timer lever is... It does have EV lock, too, which is handy. Gonna have to go to Bunnings and find some foam for it. I'm not sure I'll do anything about wobbly lens. I'll run some film through it first to see if actually needs tweaking. There's a "SERVICED BY PHOTO TECHNICAL" sticker in the film socket, so at least it's had some service in its life, rather than just being bought in the seventies and left as is for the last forty years. Judging from the scratch marks on it, however, it wasn't the most careful servicing... |

![]() So 6x6 and 6x7 are the most common when it comes to shooting medium format? LoL, would love too! Definitely more convenient only loading the holders twice per roll (or what ever MF comes in). ![]() Seems a tad much for what I'll be using for though. |

I did, unfortunately, notice some fungus on the lens last night. Considering that I'd like (get somebody else...) to tear the lens assembly down, it'll get cleaned off.
I'm really keen to check out a legendary Hexanon, but. Apparently while the body was built by Cosina, and used in a variety of cameras - Vivitar 35ES, Revue, Minolta 7sII - the lenses and finder were at the discretion of each of the companies. Considering Konica's unique flash implementation, that's not too hard to believe. It's one of the cameras I've been lusting after, and for $40, it's not bad, considering what they go for on eBay. I've got an Oly XA, and now a Konica Auto S3 - all I need to complete the triumvirate is a Canon QL 17 GIII (or QL 19). |

You won't be disappointed if its similar to the c35 af lens. It's funny I got the C35AF2 for $8 at an opshop (with O.G case!) about the same time I got my M5 w/ 35 ultron.
I shot a roll in both and was shaking my head... the C35 negs were nearly indistinguishable from the M5+Ultron negs. I must pile all my film cameras together and sell them. Mju's etc. |

Anyone know where I can pick up a decent Konica S3 with the f/1.8 hexanon - that won't cost me an arm and/or leg.

Shot four rolls over the weekend.
Got them back today. Mostly overexposed by 1/3-1 stop ![]() Not sure what happened as previous rolls have been okay (give or take a few shots here and there). I think it might have been to do with my light meter acting up a little — wouldn't give me a stable reading, but I thought it would be okay (film has been pretty forgiving so far in terms of exposure). Lesson learned. In other news, an MJU II arrived today for me, can't wait to give that a whirl |

I got the S3 from there. Wish I knew how many other OCAUers went. We should have all worn TED shirts to better identify ourselves.
Say hello to Nica. She needs a little work.
