hey all. I am looking at getting a shuttle but i have a few questions first.
I am thinking of transferring my current hardware into a shuttle barebone but i still want to be able to game. The main problem that i have is that i am not sure if it will take all that i want to put in it. I know it has enough space and expansion slots but computability and power is a concern. The Shuttle that i am looking at is the XPC SN27P2. It states that it has a 400w PSU but i am not sure of the power consumption of my pc. What i would like to put in it: 2x 500gb WD 1x 160gb Seagate 1x Samsung DVD Burner AMD 5600X2 Jetway 8800GT 512mb 4gb ram. I was thinking 4x1gb Apacer DDR2 PC-6400/800 as it would only cost $120 Is all this going to be able to run off the shuttles 400w psu and will it be compatible? Also if not is there a better option? EDIT: Just been looking at the Center Com site and it has it listed as having only a 350w psu but the shuttle site says 400w?

shuttles
but when you receive it/ go buy it, check its a 400w When the SN27P2 was originally released, it came with a 350W. People found it insufficient, so they replaced (and recalled some stock) the 350W with 400W PSU's.

I have been reading some review and they all seem to have 7800GTX cards in them and they seem to be almost as long as the cards can be. Has anyone got any info that would tell me if it would fit or have this/similar model and an 8800GT? Just not sure if the length is enough?

Dose anyone know any good alternatives to the XPC SN27P2? Just looking. I really would like to get a smaller system but not sure about what other options are out there apart from the shuttle. I am looking at the same sort of size eg not a TT Lan box as there no point to something that takes up almost as much space as my current pc.
