This machine looks great
http://www.fujitsu.com/au/services/t...510/specs.html 1.7kg with a 14.1" LED screen - looks great too (look at the S6510 3.5G gallery) Does anyone have one yet or know where I can see one in the flesh? I was thinking of getting a Dell XPS M1330 until I saw this baby. Any comments? |

The unit is light and it's a great screen - 14.1" at this weight/dimensions is great Depending on what you want to use it for the only thing to remember is that it uses built in Intel graphics as opposed to a dedicated card - so it's not really a gaming machine The Window Experience score of my unit is 3.0 and gaming graphics 3.3 - that is because of the inbuilt graphics - the CPU is 5.3, memory 4.7, hard drive 4.9 I don't think you will be dissapointed with the build quality - these units are made in Japan and well (over?)engineered Let me know if you have any other questions |

The school my cousin goes to has Fujitsu Lifebooks as their compulsory laptop.
Out of about 400 students there is not one person who has not has repeated problems. They were sold Fujitsu on their quality but they appear to be jsut junk. This is last year of the 3 year cycle they hve for laptops. They went through a computer services company that was owned by Commander who recommended this POS. |

You won't be dissapointed - they're great units
All of the S6510 series come with port replicator, mouse and carry case How much did you manage to get it for? - what processor is that? - looks like you upgraded standard memory in that particular model from 1gb to 3gb - what did that take - did you have to throw away a stick of the standard memory (was that a 1 x 1gb or 2 x 512mb? T7250 - the T7700 was $300 more expensive and I couldn't justify the extra cash. They also didn't have the T7700 in stock cost me $99 for an extra 2gb ram - the shop said they would install it for me. I don't know how many RAM slots it has or what the standard memory is I'll let you know how I go. Just slightly concerned that it may not be sturdy enough to carry around everywhere. |

I picked up my lifebook S6510m on Friday and am VERY happy with it so far
First impressions: Very lightweight sturdy machine Excellent brightness and clarity on the WLED screen. Viewable angle about 160% or more. Keyboard has a very nice feel to it. Included port replicator very useful - makes laptop stand at better viewing and typing angle on my desk. Battery life has been good so far, more than four hours on my first outing using only basic word processing programs. Included case and mouse are nothing to write home about Trackpad is responsive but scrolling is achieved through fingerprint reader which is not as good as my previous HP which had edge scrolling on the trackpad. Extra 2Gb of RAM was added for $80 and installed easily on the spot via the upgrade module bay. Windows vista runs smoothly so I will not be using the included XP downgrade discs as yet. I can thoroughly recommend this laptop so far to anyone looking for a lightweight machine with a large bright screen. Sjobeck |

I have the S6410 which is a 13.3". The S6510 is essentially the S6410 but they managed to fit a 14 inch LCD. I have used the S6410 since late last year and cannot speak highly enough of it. If I hadnt seen this notebook, I would have no doubt have the XPS 1330 today. It has great battery life and is lightweight! I often get 4 hours easy with 4/8 brightness and Wifi turned on, all others turned off. The S6510 should be able to achieve the same since the insides are very similar.

A few more praises to sing about this machine
The fingerprint reader and omnipass password manager absolutely rock!! No more remembering passwords or having to type them in. The power plan settings are excellent. The option to turn the DVD drive and reduce screen brightness to minimal (which is still very visible) makes my battery last well over four hours while on the road. I love this machine!! It even runs Vista well!! |

This is one time I am really happy to say "I told you so!"
![]() I'm very happy with mine and have put two mates onto the S6510 as well and they're also happy - one got the model with the integrated 3G I have been very happy (surprised?) about how Vista Ultimate runs on the 2gb of RAM - my model does have the T7700 processor so it's pretty fast - the least "powerful" part of it is the integrated video - but I'm not worried about that at all as I didn't buy it as a gaming machine |
