holy smoke thats probably better than my 8800GT and that card is base model.
it seems to handle high AA very well compared to last generation cards.

cant wait to see the 4870x2 blitz crysis and the 280gtx.

It maybe as far as power goes but does it have the required connections, thats the main thing i am asking about. my next PSU will probably be the CM 700W Modular as its got 2x 8PIN + 2x 6PIN PCI-e or can have 4x 6PIN PCI-e. But, we shall see.

Considering some retailers have them in stock already, i wouldn't be suprised if they showed up at MSY not long after NDA is up. But they have been known for getting stock a lot later than others..

Yep had the same thoughts, plus i never really give any benchmarks credit if they dont have photos of the card or some proof that they actually have it.

Looks like ATI are kicking some arse with the 4850. Hopefully they will overclock well.

True. They are fairly evenly matched. There is a potential here to side grade to a 4870 and make a few $$ profit after selling off the 9800.

Im very interested with these cards for the possibility of having a cheap yet powerful dual card setup.
