Default PDA for notetaking

Hey guys, I'm looking to get a PDA which may or may not have an inbuilt phone, with the main objective to take notes with a fold out keyboard at uni.

What are people's experience, is it a worthwhile avenue?

Any advice or options would be great.

Cheers

Not a fan of PDA's myself and they start to loose their portability once you get your fold out keyboard etc.

If you want something ultra portable and relatively cheap i'd suggest the eee PC from asus.

Nice and small and portable.. not as small as a PDA but it has all the functions of a laptop.

Just another idea to throw into the mix since they come in at a bit under $500 which is probably what you'd spend on a PDA.

pen and paper or full scale laptop imo

I hate uber-small keyboards, such as those on the eeepc, but that may just be me.

You could try something like THIS Pen and paper is faster than a keyboard.

We uses them at my work for the service staff and they work great.

I had a look at these at Officeworks and played around with the keyboard a bit. I'm used to my ergonomic keyboard and since it's so small I made way too many mistakes to make it worthwhile.

Looks interesting although I think I type quicker on a keyboard than with a pen.
