Looking at replacing the battery on the laptop however the problem is that it is no-name brand laptop and about 3+ years old. Doesn't run on batteries for more than say 10 mins or so.
Does anyone know if there are any reputable companies that 'refill' laptop batteries? Ie replace just the batteries using the existing case and circuitry? Would that be the best way to go?

There's a few mobs online who will repack the battery case with new batteries. I can't remember their name but a google search should turn them up. I went through the same thing when my gf's Acer battery shat itself. If you can get a replacement pack just do that instead of repacking as it's a lot less hassle.
You could of course try it yourself if you were that way inclined, I can't imagine it being too hard? |

ebay.
Check there, they have a huge market for batteries. Maybe there might be a model with a similar case as you.
