Just got hit for 2k from a lvl 43 boss mob as a 49 barb with 2.5k hp.

For those who have played anarchy online will probably agree that AO is better than AOC (wow i just realised the acronym similarity).

I am a 60 ranger and balance is non existant
pvp is dominated by the flavour of the week
pve is boring.
content past quests is NIL comparative to other games

Tonights patch is going to be a very impressive one, HUGE amount of fixes balances and additions! Can't wait!

This is being fixed in this patch as far as I'm aware.

Linky? Any info at all on it?

I seem to get really really angry at AoC/Funcom. I paid $100 for a game that didn't deliver. I want all the stuff fixed that should've been there to start with and I may come back. But I'm seriously considering WAR.... maybe it'll be better at launch. It's been 7 weeks for AoC and it's still completely borked.

Oh please, there has never been an MMO that delivered on everything at launch. Most run years without expected features.

wow. So many people trying to justify a poor purchase with even poorer logic.

There is a difference between launching without a couple of expected features, and launching without half a game.

I don't think there has been a game launch in history, of any genre, that was as incomplete as AoC.

Having been through closed beta, open beta AND launch with WoW... They had a full game at least (I dislike WoW at present, so don't go lookin for the "fanboi" comment) AoC is missing a FUCKLOAD of features that were promised.

It's half a game, it's as simple as that.

I couldn't wait for this game to launch and played it for a few weeks but found it pretty 'simple'. The social and group interaction was terrible.

Has it improved?

When should I consider giving it another go?

Perhaps not content wise but the ShadowBane Asia launch was so much worse than AoC. Hell, we got 3 months of free-play because the servers were down all the time and there were countless bugs.

Geez do we have to go through all this again? As soon as one person makes a comment the rest of you jump in to say the same...

We know there's a lot missing, and people are split into still enjoying what it is, or complaining and demanding everything that there should have been.

Sub_Atomic & others - have you written to Funcom and complained? Asked for your money back? Obviously it's below your standards so I hope you have?

wallymuhieddine - keep waiting

it probably hasn't progressed too much from what you saw... maybe tonights patch will bring it a lot closer, but if you're happy to wait you should probably give it a month or two.

Personally I'm still enjoying the questing/leveling/group experience so am content for now.

Edit: The difference between me and a lot of the other comments is that I talk about myself enjoying the game, where as 'you' seem to believe that I should be angry/upset/outraged just like you are... which seems to make you even more angry that I'm not!
