Default Over-the-top installation of XP - Now some folders deny my access

XP stuffed up, so I installed over the top again - Now there are some folders that say "Access Denied" when I try to open them. This is on an NTFS file system, and basically I want to know how I can get into the folders. Is it possible?

if you are an administrator then you should be able to right click on the folders and then click 'Sharing and Security', then click on the security tab and modify who can do what, and make sure that you are allowed full access.

Maddhatter explained how to do this in this thread:
http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...take+ownership

XP uses 'simple file sharing' by default and this means the security tab is not available until you uncheck the box.
