Default Photoshop

Hi Everyone,
I need to make a simple X in photoshop for a safety sign that i'm making for work. Is there a simple way of doing it? I worked out that i can change the opacity so i can still see the picture under a rectangle But i really nead an X. My Photoshop skills are limited at best.

Cheers Sugaris...

not quite sure what you are trying to do. You can make a big x by using the font tool, makeing it a huge point size and typing x.

A simple and quick solution would be to use the Type tool from the main toolbar, click on the image where you would like the X to be, type X, then play around with the properties of the text (size, colour, font). Try and find a simplified sans serif font face that looks more like a cross than the letter X.

Again this is just a quick way of doing it.

rather than using the font point size defaults, just type the X then select the text layer and choose Edit/Transform/Scale and use the grab hanfled with the shift key to expand the X to your liking.

You can then set the font to be in a new layer, and have it at an alpha of 50% or whatnot if you want some transparency.

Looks like you've copy-pasted the silhouettes from somewhere else, you can see all these greyish areas around the figures. Hasn't this sign already been done before?

thats from me working the rubber and for some reason i cant seem to remove. And yes i can't take all the credit for the sign but i have changed a major portion for the Circumstances that are required at my work.

Yes anyone would think they are animals i know.
