Pffft... good luck with that. I couldn't even the get the F9 installer to boot. Although, that's not to say you'll have better luck. PM me how you go with it.

Will do. It's mainly because I'm now having to support Red Hat at work so I need a rig I can play with.

I know some other people who have the same sort of ideas:

http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...9&postcount=25

Setting a wallpaper is also click and set in linux as well, config files refers to conky,

the statistics on the left that are integrated into the desktop:

On another note some of these UI's are definitely the best I've seen in ages!

After years of theme hopping, I have just given up and settled for something uncluttered, fast, clean and functional.

GTK theme: Smooth-winter
Xfwm theme: Metabox
Font: Deja Vu Sans
Terminal Font: Terminus
Icons: Gartoon Redux

Got ubuntu running yesterday. Loving it so far. Was having a weird problem in windows with my GFX card locking up occasionally when browsing the web. Tried everything to no avail so I thought I'd try Ubuntu as a last resort... its been completely stable Think I'll make it my main boot and just switch over to windows when I want to game.

Try this.

Tools > Options > Advanced tab > General tab > and disable Auto scrolling and Smooth scrolling
