Default Are you going to buy a 45nm quad ? POLL

Hi guys , with all of the debate on 45nm quads with their seemingly low fsb/multi imposed limtations and very high pricetag I would like to know if anyone is going to buy one . Poll away guys and let us know what you bought and where from .

Edit: I suppose you all saw this , from guess who:

Intel Q9300 cpu $459
when you buy 2gb (2x1gb) of pqi 800 ram for $155
What a blatant rip off , ffs.

When they get cheap enough to buy I'll buy one, chances are the top peg Nehalem will have already been release by then. Only picked up my first Q6600 a few weeks ago

Dependant on price, looking at the q9450 & q9550 would really high the higher multi but i'm not going to pay a fortune for it, i'd rather buy some higher speed ram for the price difference.

If i get lazy i'll just wait for Nehalem, but i really would like a nice 45nm processor to replace my B3 Q6600 atm.

edit: or i might spend that money on a nice WC kit to push my quad even more muahahaah

Depends on when the Q9450 become readily available in the local (local to Canada anyways) shops. If Nehalem is just around the corner, I may put off the purchase.

Nehalem is expected in the Late Q4 2008, even when it does come out i'll expect the premium costing extreme version (if they'll even make one) to come out or they will just stick to server based products first, before releasing desktop versions.

Already bought a QX9650 but selling it to fund my first DSLR camera purchase - can't decide between Canon 40D or Pentax K20D

Probably wait for QX9770 as Q9550 and below has little chance of doing any worthwhile benching over 3.4-3.85Ghz. for Q9300-9550.

I will get a Q9450 only if retailers don't jack up the price 250% & if it ever gets released. Plan B is a E8400/E3110 but only if I can get one under $300. If all else fails will snap up a cheap Q6600 G0.

Prices are jacked 'till AMD lift thier game. Which is fine by me, I got my 8400 before the price jack. Hurrah.
Just outta interest, what will Nehalem give that Wolfdale doesn't provide?
(Haven't read on it in a while.)

Completely new core architecture. 4 integrated cores (all 4 cores share common cache), on die memory controller, new SSE instructions.
