Default Confirming availability of the Lenovo N200 @ $598

I just bought one from Stafford, QLD after ringing many BigWs.

This BigW does not have it on show but will gladly bring it out for people in the know.

Review thread here: http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...d.php?t=654807

Straight after purchasing, on the way home, i got a stick of 1gb kingston from Umart for 29 bux. its 26 from msy for generic.

after putting it in, i started the laptop for the first time. LOTS OF BLOATWARE.
If you want to format, you need to turn AIHC to compatibility mode so you can detect the HDD for reinstalling whatever OS. Though i suggest making recover discs first. I made the discs and reinstalled XP pro

I didn't have to do this but I'm guessing you reinstalled XP.

Didn't have to set AIHC to compatibility mode because I was reinstalling Vista Ultimate and not XP like you.

you don't have to set to compatibility mode if you have the ICH8R driver when you press F6

you can download that driver and use it if you have a usb fdd or mem stick
