thanks! i know a lot of people aren't a fan of relic guitars, but i think they can look good if they aren't too overdone to a point where they look cheesy.

bought pretty much everything off ebay - it's a fender jap alder body, fender stamped usa tremolo, fender usa alnico pups and a mighty mite compound radius neck.

So I totally forgot to post some pictures of my baby!
Sorry about the crap quality, the iphone isnt the best camera ever!

Its a 2003-04 Highway 1 Stratocaster, Fully upgraded to Schaller Gold hardware (bridge, machine heads, strap buttons, input jack), running lace sensor gold/blue/red and boy does it sound good!

I tend to find myself using the Blue on the neck moreso than the others (lately) but the Silver and Red certainly shine in other areas where I prefer them instead.

What I love about the set is how good they are at full fuzz and overdrive etc without falling apart. They really hold it together under the heaviest of settings without losing their character. They respond well to so many effects.

Another thing I like about them is how versatile they are with the volume and tone controls on the guitar. Using the tone and volume controls takes them in so many different places that the combinations seem endless.

Here are my 2 babies:
Ibanez SZ720fm with EMG 81/80's (i think, been so long since i put them in) and an EMG afterburner. Ibanez RG2550z that I got start of the yet. Plays sooooooo well and sounds amazing.

This one is my first electric. Epiphone SG. Not too bad, but i haven't touched it for ages.

SZ series feels like a lumpy, soggy RG to me.

They feel nothing like RG's Much heavier body and completely different neck give it a more heavier feel.

Well i went in to the store planning on getting a $700 7 string, and I saw this and fell in love. It's an amazing guitar and for $1400 I reckon you can't get a better looker. The finish is perfect too. The pickups did cost an extra $600 or so but even the stock ones were ok.

Anyone got a DIRT cheap guitar i can buy between now and april next year?

heres the thing, im going too kenya too help out in orphanages im pretty poor as it is and yeah (Dont have a job, but my friends want me too come, and i also think i need too go. so we're going too work it all out.. Ill be working etc too pay it back..) Tickets booked and all. I wanted too take a guitar too play and sing with them.. Ill prob give the guitar away while im there, but i thought it would be something special too take so they can have a chance too hear some of our music (We write our own stuff etc) and other music.

Ill also get you too sign the guitar before shipping, because u will be sort of part of this project by helping out. I only have electrics.. Blah! Id rather a steel string over nylon as i find classical guitar harder too play due too the necks being majorly fat.

:-)
