even if it's fine at 650 doesn't mean it'll be fine at 800 especially with stock volts. When you increase your FSB your mem speed is probably going up too right? you've got the ram speed on a divider? well when FSB goes up your ram speed will go up so your ram could be limiting your overclock...

Yep, slow the RAM down.

well i could set my FSB : RAM at 4:3 maybe? if i had to i would make my ram voltage bigger, im not dumb. i dont want it 800 but it could reach reach 667 prob IMO. my PSU is holding up well and can people please, remember im not upgrading anything on this im simply getting the most out of my overclock, and trying to find and solve the problems.

How do you know if it can reach 667? on stock volts from 533 to 667 is quite big... Try setting FSB 4:3 Ram and up the FSB and see what happens. I'm pretty sure you need more volts on the ram...

ja i will set more volts on ram if i hav to. just a Q for eveyrone..why does everyone sound so serious when talking about voltages and ram? can it have really bad results if i overvolt? i dont know

plus, in my bios, is DRAM voltage my ram voltage? cause in the voltage section, its either that, chipset, or vcore. i wnna know if its the right thing

yes it would be. No not if you overvolt. 1.8V is Not Enough for the ram overclock that is being applied. You will get better results if you overvolt (within reason) Don't go crazy like 2.5V or something. Try small amounts like 1.9V, 2.0V. If you go over 2.0V start looking to get some active cooling on the ram. Stick an 80mm fan over them or something...

Even though the RAM may have been running at those speeds, it may have been throwing erros like a whore and slowing the system down by having to refresh the data more. Fast RAM does not equal higher performance.
Heres a tick i even tried, I slowed my RAM to 667 speed and did a test. I catually got 300MB/s faster by slowing it down. The gain came from tightening its timmings. The only reason i dont leave it like this was that i lost performance elsewhere with FSB and CPU speed. But still, it was an eye opener.

ok well lets see then. the ram should be 1/2 of what the FSB is is right? i.e in my case, 1290 FSB = 645 RAM. so if i wanna get that 4/3, -

4 = 1290
3 = 967.5

since ram is half of fsb, halve 967.5, therefore ram speed should be 483.75 right?

ok providing wht i said is right, then well bad news. my computer doesnt seem to like that speed with 5-5-5-15 or 4-4-4-12. what do do now? i even changed between 1.8, 1.9 and 2.0 DRAM volt.

Bear with me, im trying to picture your settings and its getting messy.

Can you post what your exact settings are in the BIOS. Start with what your host or base frequency is please. Even if you get a digital camera and take a shot of each of your main screens would be a big help.

Just fyi, my kingston 667 is running at 860. Haven't had any problems at 1:1 so I haven't lowered my divider.

And what does this have with the OP's issue ? Different RAM and different board as well as just about everything else.
Pretty much all RAM starts off as slow shit then the manufacturer tests and loads RAM to determin what speed it can handle and to be rated at and binned accordingly. Alot of "Slow" stuff can run much fatser but its not the past the manufacturers specs so if it does fail then you asked for it. If not then sweet, your a lucky one.
Its when it starts to fall over due to prolonged high temps and voltages to make it work that fast that is will degrade and eventually errors and unexplained issues arise.

Back on topic please.

try FSB 1422. and keep the ram divider at 4:3 This fsb will allow your ram to run at its rated speed. Dunno what your result will be but might as well try

i tried it, mutiple voltages and timings, doesnt work. i am out of ideas myself, when i get some time im just gonna calcualte different 4:3 and 2:1 speeds for FSB and ram, cause im still stuck at 1290 FSB and 645 ram.
