Default another what laptop thread 12 inch salary sacrifice vostro 1200 vs others

So i have wanted a 12 inch screen laptop for quite a while, and the vostro 1200 has just popped up, I'll be salary sacrificing and apparently we can get deals with Dell, and my latitude D620 work thing seems to have held up OK, though i think it is a model or two up from the vostro.

is this (asus F9SG-2P013C) a likely contender? i like the look and feel of ASUS laptops, and as far as i can tell it has a way better GFX card than the vostro.

i like that you can get the dell with XP on it already, and it is a few hundred cheaper, but its hard to tell without holding and bending each one.

cheers, sorry for another thread of this nature!

I know you said specifically 12 inch, but the Vostro's external dimensions are literally only a few millimetres smaller than its 13 inch cousin, the XPS M1330.

If you're after a genuinely small 12 inch, you may want to look elsewhere. Or, get the XPS. :-)

same thing with the ASUS, the 13 inch one is barely bigger, just has less "border" around the screen.

the XPs is a fair whack more exxy though, which comes in to play too

just measured up, the XPS 1330 is almost identically sized to my 14.1 inch work latitude 620, so ill still get a 12 inch screen one.

ASUS one is looking better, due to the graphics card mainly, but will see.

the lenovo/ibm thinkpads are probably a better bet for a 'compact' laptop
or the apple or sony's which are also quite thin and portable
