Some Links for downloads on release day and preveiw pics and videos.

"A free game in the truest sense of the word, TrackMania Nations Forever lets you drive at mind-blowing speeds on fun and spectacular tracks in solo and multiplayer modes"

    TrackMania Nations Forever

    TrackMania United Forever

The TMUF(Trackmania United Forever) and TMNF(TrackMania Nations Forever) are due out 16/4/08 , probably pretty late in the day Australian Time.

To summerize whats new to TMUF(trackmania United forever) and TMNF(Trackmania Nations Forever)

TMNF is Freeware the same as TMN(TrackMania Nations) was.

TMUF will be a addon for TMU(TrackMania United). Free(not confirmed)

    The biggest changes are:-

1)TMUF and TMNF will all be able to compete against other in the stadium enviroment. Also same ladders and statistics .TMNF is Stadium only.

2)New road types eg. Dirt and stop engine. + more

3)TMUF for instance will no longer require the disc in the drive due to different copy protection and anti-cheat systems.I hope this means NO MORE STARFORCE * Unconfirmed

There is more info , check the links provided

    I'm looking forward to it.

Seriously Play with Keyboard and gamepad if you want to be competitive in Trackmania.

United was the first game i cranked up on my media center/50" when i got the50, i had soooo much fun... again! That and it runs well on pretty low specced machines (think 6600GT) I also play with the 360 pad for windows which allows a great level of control
United already has this? Must be mentioning it as new for Nations Forever.

    Can't wait should be awesome!

Both at the same time? But yeah, trackmania is useless with a wheel, too twitchy at times, PS2 controler with the analog sticks is kinda neat.

I noticed someone mentioned a wheel.

Do you think that a wheel makes this game much easier? This game always struck me as a game that would be easier to play with the keyboard... heh

When i play i use a wheel its fun but the corners are tight and stuff so i'd say keyboard is easier but wheel is funner.

i can't imagine it with a wheel, i even think the analog stick on a controller would been strange. just keyboard for me. and it's not like you need anything other keys than the arrows. simple ftw.

If you have steam restart your client, the update is now out. Will rename your game to trackmania united forever.

i had so much fun with this game. i'll be definately giving it a go. i think i got pretty frustrated with it for a while so gave up on it. there seemed to be this barrier for me. points were just not coming my way and the hole i dug got deeper and deeper. beats me why.

never mind. new game, new frustrations to be had. see you on the track.
