FSW is pretty damn awesome for affliction locks, but stat wise its lacking (why frost mages replace it with kara gear). But if your fresh to 70 its prolly a good option, as its better than most blues.

If your wanting to go demo or destro, i'd look at the pvp s1 sets, as they have better stats stam/spell crit.

If your wanting to get into raiding, i'd start off with crafting a spellstrike set rather than a FSW set.. just so you can get to the hit cap asap.

MS+Imp Slam is indeed the highest dps warrior raid spec at the moment. Not to mention the inclusion of blood frenzy which'll boost part of the raid's damage by 4% on top of that.

Just need a good swing timer mod and as low a latency as possible.

Don't post that stuff unless it's the actual intro please.

My link to my lock

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...h&n=Soulzapper

I pretty much know i have to replace everything lol. Been spending time trying to get rep with sso for jc. So once thats done i will instance like crazy.

I want to be geared enough to do heroics so i can get beautiful badges.

I was thinking the full FSW set and pants/head from either spellstrike/battlecast......

ATM I dont think anyone would want me in heroics to get geared

Edit: And I'll probably go affliction for instances/raiding

FSW + Spellstrike will last you through heroics, kara, and even SSC bar a couple fights you chuck a couple bits of pvp gear on for stamina. Also the bar for heroics is lower and lower these days due to all classes being able to get welfare t5/t6 level gear.

As for spec your probably better staying affliction for pve, imo destro doesnt become really viable unless you have a decent amount of gear.

Spellstrike is better? I know I need the +hit. But battlecast seems to have better stam/int.

Personally, I would not bother with demo or destro for PVE until you have good gear.

Affliction is your best choice when starting out raiding as it is the least stat dependent. All you need to do is stack on +damage, which makes the FSW set so awesome early on. Suppression helps you out when you don't have enough hit rating too. If you get the FSW and Spellstrike sets and you plan on staying affliction, it will last you until Hjyal.

Both Demo and Destro specs are heavily dependent on gear. The season 1 gear is pretty shit for PVE, is has absolutely no hit rating on it which is going to kill your DPS in any raid instance. I wouldn't go destro until I had about 1000 damage, 25% crit and 14+% hit.

I would totally pick up tailoring again, although it isn't as attractive as it used to be with all of the sexy badge loot and Magister's Terrace stuff that is out now. Typically Spellstrike was the choice for PVE (and is still really good), where as Battlecast was better for entry level PVP and is now outdated as you can get better stuff from the season 1 gear by doing BGs faster than you could farm the primals to make Battlecast.

*edit* Just to reiterate, Spellstrike is way better, Stam and Int do very little for you as an affliction spec.

Hopefully will be attempting Archimonde this week - quite ... nervous cus I hear its a terrible fight

From reading the strats, it seems quite straightforward if you follow the strats (e.g. stay out fire, run away from raid if you have fire, trinket out of fear if you can, etc) - any other advice you guys/gals can provide?

Also, I'm a healer, is there anything I should be aware of? I know MT gets hit hard - guess need healers to snap out of fear to keep heals up? And air burst thing happen often? Is there much raid damage if people avoid the fire? Thanks

If possible, give every group a shaman. Have them drop tremor, or setup a fearward rotation on druids to keep hots rolling while the groups are feared. Depending on if you have 4 groups or 3, there should always be at least 1 group with the MT always.

Also, grind badges as much as possible. The badge gear is capable of taking you up to ~T6 gear levels very quickly.

Yes, the spellstrike is MUCH better. +hit, +dmg and +crit are all far more important that +int and +stam.

Whats the point in having 10k health and 10k mana, but only 800 +dmg? Your spell damage and crit are the only things that will affect your dps. I'd rather 8k health, 8k mana and >1000 +dmg.
