hmmm damnit, i wanna keep my q6600 but i always have trouble overclocking with it. its such a shame. i at least wanted to crack the 15k mark on vantage.

Haven't benched in quite a while but thought I would give the GTX280 a run last night......scored 11320.

Your 790i should clock any 45nm quad well enough for you , so I guess you will grab one after price drop (or sooner)

Yeh it looks like you're really CPU limited there. I got over 10k with a dual core and 1xGTX280. Even for 2 GTX cards, a Q6600 probably won't cut it.

I purchased both 3d mark 06 and vantage off the net, but after a fresh OS install i've lost the keys, so i'm trying to find where in the hell i log on and get my keys again on the futuremark website, but for life of me i cant find it? anyone know?

Yes they are recorded in your account details , I have seen all of my old keys in there , ones I forgot I even bought .
