PSP is not included , used as a size comparison

The boot up priority was a bit wierd, there was no usb bootup.

So do you need to use a USB CD drive to boot then? Is there any other way to install the OS?

I did a bit of googling and that appears to be the only way to install the OS, as the network card and wifi drivers required to do a network install can't be activated to install over a LAN for some reason...

That info came from Linux specific sites though so I am not sure about how Windows would go.

that huge gap under the screen shits me but if they are selling again for $350 put my name now

eg. the HP 2133 with has a similar mainboard but better screen is like $900

now $350 vs. $900?

your choice son but $350 is like chump change

There are honourable exceptions that prove this rule though. Sadly, this group now seems to be feeling pressure to change."

A usb cd is not required to boot, an alternative way is to use a USB flashdisk

The drivers cd has 3 main files, MEDIACTR, NETFX and TABLETPC. Maybe one of em contains drivers for the network card, then again maybe not. The readme file on the CD states that:

This CD is intended for users installing either the Windows XP
Tablet PC Edition or the Windows XP Media Center Edition.

It's all standard hardware. The chipset (VX700), sound (VT1708A), and video (UniChrome Pro II) drivers are all from Via (www.via.com.tw). The network driver is from Realtek (RTL8100CL). The modem drivers are from Azure, and Bluetooth is provided by Billionton.
