Hmm looks like the 1535's are going to be out around the same time I'll be looking at buying a laptop. I was thinking of getting a Vostro 1510 over an Inspiron 1525, but the 1535 might be an option.
It's a sexy looking laptop, that's for sure. Eller |

Totally agree Eller, new ones look awesome.
It will be interesting to see the prices. If it's in the same price range with new parts, it'll be a winner IMO. I like how they have the XPS series hinge.... looks much more stable than other designs.

Prices should be around the same as current models as they will replace them.

there's nothing wrong with Dell to be honest.
Easier to deal with in terms of warranty compared to Mac .... especially if you bought it online. But I agree that there are also plenty of other choices out there with better prices but then again, from what I have seen over the years, notebook quality especially build quality wise is degrading for all manufacturers ..... cheapo plastic bits, etc..... If you are wanting to spend the money, go get a business type notebook if you require a notebook. If you want to game, please get a desktop. New inspirons certainly look good but I drool over the new E-series latitudes! heheh but that would be expensive :P

*thread necromancy*
Any more news on these, especially the 1535? A quick google search doesn't show up too much, just some repostings of the original article and the like. Eller |

I support quite a few different brands of laptop at my work - HP, Toshys, Asus, IBM, and guess what I always buy for home? Dell. Do you know why? No, you don't have a clue - if you did you wouldn't be making such dumb comments. |

engadget had another brief mention about it a couple of days ago: http://www.engadget.com/2008/05/26/d...apter-listing/ still no solid news on it though.
Although this article might also be of interest |
