I just used this, I didn't take into account the curve, I just assumed a perfectly rectangular 7x4x4' tank.

You can use google for that kind of thing too (again, not factoring in the extra in the bow curve). Math whizzes could probably show how to do it in Google or WolframAlpha tho.

:S tanks on the side are 2.5ft high with a 1.4ft gap in the middle of them to fit a bucket etc.

4ft wide is the dead center, hence why I cant figure out the total size, the complete end sides are 2.5ft then it bows into 4ft dead middle. so idk how else to say it lol 7x4x2.5-4ft? xD

thats a big tank, if it was for a reef i think you'd want more light than that if you intend on growing sps.

jump over to http://www.masa.asn.au/phpBB3/ for more reef heads, its the australian marine aquarium society.

Does anyone know if 30" (~80cm) T5 Tubes are readily available in Aus? If so, any places in Perth?

Cheers

I have a 50cm cube with a bit of aesthetic damage on one corner (managed to bump a computer case into it, no covers on the corners) - rimless/braceless 10mm glass on a custom ADA stand (built by Vasilli) and a little Aqua One T5 setup (on stand) for sale for next to nothing if anyone is interested. ($75? ono) Also have an Eheim 2215 and a Hydor Inline 200W to go with it but they'll be extra.

MotoJohnno has dibs on the driftwood and other crap in it I think

Does anyone know what is a decent brand of marine salt to get? There are heaps of brands etc. Do i just "grab one" or is some better than others in regards to additives etc? Im setting up a brackish tank, not full marine.
