Question Want to build a media/shuttle PC..

Hello everyone,

I'm looking at building a media pc/shuttle pc. Right now I have a MASSIVE case, not powerful (Athlon XP 2800+ (2.08GHz)/768mb RAM/Geforce 6600) - but does the job. I also have a few hard drives in there (250,120,500) - all which I want to replace with 1tb drive (and if there's space - another 1tb later to RAID1)

I want to replace the big case with something a lot smaller.

I'm lost where to find motherboards with everything I need on it - but still fit in the shuttle PC. Also, where to find the shuttle PC cases.

Right now I'm just using a VGA connection to my TV - and using the digital audio out that's on my motherboard (1 single component connection to my audio system)

Can anyone care to suggest some motherboard/cases - and perhaps let me know if I'm on the right track?

Thanks!

When you buy a Shuttle, you get a case AND a motherboard. You'll have to get a second hand one though for your gear as it's older.

If you want to keep the majority of your hardware, your next option is to source a secondhand microatx motherboard, and grab yourself a microATX case.

Hope that helps.
