turns out that countdown is off too...

Quote:
The countdown timer was set to the 15th of May because there was no definite time given for the actual activation, recent events show that CERN wont be dividing by zero until much later on in the year, so now the countdown timer will be reset again and will be continually tweaked to go by the latest info that CERN are releasing.

The interesting stuff is not happening till August. Not quite time yet to give away all your earthly posessions and kiss your arse goodbye

but plenty of time for making jokes about its name with your mates

...cept who the final cylon is, what the frack is going on in Lost or why we're all so obsessed with paris hilton.

Isn't there a small possibility that it could create a black hole?

I find it interesting that the turning on of this device and NASA's big announcement sort of coincide, give or take a few days.

I reckon NASA's big announcement is that they know where the disastrous black hole we're making will come out (and have pictures!).
