Default Looking at purchasing a Laptop - PCI Queries

Hey I'm looking at purchasing a Laptop, hopefully either Dell, Asus or HP.

One thing I would really love is to still have access to my X-Fi Elite Pro PCI Card.

I noticed some docking stations have PCI, I also noticed an external PCI box but thats over $1k....

Any advice?

And don't say to buy a USB sound card.... I love the X-FI Elite Pro....

Lenovo have a docking station that has a PCI-E x1 slot, and I think HP have a similar option. however these are quite expensive (lenovo's is $499 rrp). and they are pci-e not pci.

while the X-FI Elite Pro is a good sound card, are you really going to consider spending $500+ just to use it ?

Hi there,
I have a Dell D620, and i believe if you can still get your hands on a D630. Then you can pick a docking station up for around $100 on flee bay.
Dell Docking station PRO1X or something named like that. Supposedly only takes half height PCI cards, but nothing cutting holes cant fix.

Wish they made a Radeon 3850 PCI version, that would totally own.
